Sudhir Babu, the Indian Trade Commissioner to the UAE, was appointed by the Indian Economic Trade Organization. He will focus on increasing bilateral trade to $10 billion by 2030 and promoting cooperation in the fields of tourism, education, IT, and SMEs. He will also establish an office in Dubai to accelerate commercial and trade relations between India and the UAE. Additionally, he plans to implement the “Make in Emirates” initiative, modeled after the “Make in India” campaign, and promote Ayurveda in the UAE. Babu also aims to facilitate access to Indian higher education institutions for the children of Indians residing in the UAE and organize a comprehensive conference in the UAE soon.
